Our Press Office and Corporate Events team publicise and orchestrate many high profile events. Alongside this, they also liaise with the media and press to raise awareness of developments within the University including our research output.

I am responsible for promoting the organisation’s profile regionally, nationally and internationally through PR, media relations and internal and external communications activity. I have extensive experience working in communications across a number of sectors including HE, charity, financial services, recruitment and the public sector. I originally began my career as a reporter on the daily regional newspaper – the Northampton Chronicle & Echo – before moving into PR as press officer for Anglia Ruskin University. Before joining the University, I was Head of Media at SEEDA, the South East England Development Agency. |

Telephone: +44 (0) 1243 812151 I joined the University in January 2010 and am part of the team with responsibility for all aspects of communication across the organisation. I work closely with academics and departmental staff to promote their activities to their peers and to the wider community, dealing directly with the public and through the media. Before joining the University, I gained nearly six years experience in public sector PR roles across Sussex and Hampshire. This followed on from my first job where I trained as a journalist with local newspapers in Chichester. I have also sat on a national committee on public sector PR, and am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). |
